SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 28
(By Senators Helmick, Brackenrich and Holliday)
Commending the Webster County High School football team for
ending the 1992 season with a ranking of ninth in the state.
Whereas, The Webster County High School Highlander football
team ended the 1992 season with seven wins and four losses; and
Whereas, The Highlander's participated in the Class AA
championship competition for the first time in the history of
Webster County High School in 1992; and
Whereas, The Webster County High School is ranked ninth in
the state due to the leadership of B. J. Phillips, head coach;
Gil Gladwell, Randy Rader and Steve Skidmore, assistant coaches;
and Randy Gregory, manager; and to the outstanding athletic
ability of the senior, junior and sophomore players; therefore,
be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby commends the Webster County High
School football team for participating in the Class AA state
championship playoffs for the first time in the school's history
in 1992, and for the outstanding athletic ability of the players
and the coaching staff; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to
forward a copy of this resolution to head coach B. J. Phillips
and the principal of Webster County High School.
